Our lovely art studio isn’t just a place for children to attend - it is for everyone in the community and we are so happy to present a series of adult art classes starting in March 2020.
Have you always wanted to paint or draw but just don’t know how to start? Not sure what materials to use and how to use them? Maybe you have done a little bit of art in the past and would like to get back in the swing of things? Or perhaps you are after a regular social class where you are learning something new with a group of like-minded locals?
Pip Dot adult classes are designed to provide structured learning for beginners in a fun and informal environment. You will learn the art basics, develop skills and ignite your artistic confidence. Once you have completed the four week course you will be able to continue with further learning as we have an array of courses that will run all year.
This four week course will cover the following foundation skills:
Understanding materials and how to use them
Drawing from observation
Colour theory and how to mix your own complex colours
Using Watercolours, acrylics and inks
Concept development
What to bring
Wear old clothes and/or bring an apron.

Our studio is a heritage listed building with access limitations. If you have any special access requirements please contact us on 03 90437024 before enrolling in a course.
About Sarah Doyle
After raising a family and working for many years, Sarah has recently returned to her first love, visual arts.
Having missed her creative outlet for so long she is now passionate about empowering others to give their creativity a kick start and realise their inner artist.
Sarah’s classes are relaxed and practical, giving participants the opportunity to explore new mediums and discuss ideas in a friendly and inspired environment, and will take beginners through the basics of materials, composition, colour theory, drawing and painting.
Sarah’s artistic style is to take everyday observations and interpret them visually primarily through the mediums of charcoal, ink and oils.
Sarah trained in Visual Arts at NCAT and RMIT, has exhibited locally and regionally, and sells privately. She is excited to be taking a sabbatical in mid 2021 to take up an artist residency in Spain.
All studio classes are temporarily suspended due to CoVid 19
